You also need to connect with them personally so that you can really build a relationship and both get the most out of working together. 2. Quality over quantity

When finding the right influencers for your brand, it is easy to slip into the routine of gifting products to anyone with a relatively large following and high engagement levels & that get back to you! In our professional opinion it is better to find influencers that really add quality to your brand, over quantity. If not done properly with the right amount of research, influencer marketing can have a negative effect on your business.

3. Reach a wider audience

Influencer marketing on social media is a great way for your brand to reach a wider audience. With whatever agreement you come to with your influencer, the main aim will be to get them to share your products on their social media pages, reaching a whole new audience to the one you have at the moment! By doing so, you open up the door for more people to follow and engage with your content and brand.

4. Creative content

If you’re struggling with creative content, influencer marketing is a great way to increase user generated content that you can use on your own social media platforms. The majority of influencers know how to take creative photos and really sell a product which will be beneficial for your brand!

5. Increased engagement

As mentioned previously, it is hugely important that you work with influencers that are going to add something to your business! Something to monitor is the increased engagement you notice once you start working with an influencer. It’s important to pay attention to your analytics to make sure you’re seeing the benefit from your influencer marketing, after all this is the whole point of it! 

6. Be prepared to pay

You might get lucky and reach out to somebody that is willing to post a few photos in exchange for products, however in this day and age and for the majority of influencers, influencer marketing comes at a price, and sometimes a very steep one! Be prepared to pay or put a budget aside for influencers that you think you will benefit from working with.
